iFrogz Zune Case Review

The good folks at iFrogz are well known for iPod cases, but have now turned to the dark side of the force and are offering silicone Zune cases in a variety of colors.

The rubber band is separate from the actual case but attaches around the perimeter to cover all the ports during travel. The headphone jack remains exposed due to a hole in the band. Be warned, lining up the hole in the band with the headphone port can be a test of skill.

The cute froggie logo is debossed on the front and embossed ont he rear (in white). The pause/play and back buttons are covered with silicone but this works out much better than cases with holes for them. Finger pressure goes right through the silicone and operating the device with the case on is a cakewalk.
A metal mount for a belt clip is molded right into the case. iFrogs has a nice variety of colors. The band color can be selected independently from the case color. Currently there is only one case design for the Zune but we've been told a second is in development.

Even given our bias against products that start with the letter "i" the case was really fun to use. The red color is energetic and almost makes you want to take a bite out of it as if it were a sheet of licorice. The material is thicker than average silicone cases and has a nice texture and feel. Not too soft, or too stiff. In conclusions we recommend the case to those who want to choose between several colors including pink. MSRP is $29.95, which includes 1 case and 1 band.
