Zune Charger: EZGear Powerstick
The EZGear Powerstick for Zune is an external power supply that will charge your Zune wherever you go. The unit requires 4 AA batteries (which are not included). The Zune battery is 800 mAh (milliamp hours), by comparison a set of 4 NiMH rechargable battries will total 10,000 mAh but operate at a lower voltate individually. Experience shows 3x - 4x battery life can be obtained from the external charger.
The Powerstick does not have a power meter but there is an on/off switch and LED indicator light. The unit is composed of black plastic and has an integrated cable that plugs directly into the Zune.
The Zune Powertsick retails for $29.95 which is about half the price of the competing Belkin Powerbase. Batteries are not included but the AA form factor is the most popular battery size in the world, and many people already own rechargeable batteries for other devices.
In conculsion the Powerstick is a simple and cost effective
external battery for the Zune. Frequent flyers and movie watchers are most likely to need the extra battery life. We recommend the Powerstick because it works and it's well priced.
